  • Detail: Operation of the PR Booth and marketing activities
  • Participants: Busan, Busan Tourism Organization, Busan Haeundae, Incheon, Incheon Tourism Organization, Tongyeong
  • TPO Joint Exhibition Booth
    - Both Type: A standard booth operated independently by a participating member city
  • Joint Presentation of TPO Member Cities
    • Venue: 1F, China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex, Guangzhou, China
    • Participants: Around 50 tourism-relate personnel from top outbound travel agencies, tourism authority and TPO
    • Details:

      Member cities’ presentation on tourism resources and policies.
      TPO Secretariat’s presentation on the proposals for member cities’ joint tourism products and on the support for the travel agencies.

    • Operation of Roadshow Booth to introduce tourism resources and products of the participating member cities

Project Culture & Language Immersion Program: CLIP 2016
Participants Foreign students of over 18 years old
Objectives
  • Contribute to the development of tourism industry in the region
  • To foster global understanding of other culture and cultivate global thinking among young people by sharing cultures.
  • To create a network of youngsters and provide the participants with an opportunity to understand the host city and to experience its cultures through cultural activities and field trips.

  • Place: Surabaya, Indonesia
  • Participants: 30 participants from 6 countries

TPO Member City Advertising Exchange Project
3) TPO Member City Advertising Exchange Project
  • Period: Once a year
  • Participants: Citizens and public organizations from 78 city members in 10 countries
  • Purpose: To provide the opportunities for TPO member cities to promote their city images, tourism resources, and tourism products to other cities’ citizens through mutual exchanges of tourism information.
  • Details: Member cities mutually exchange their tourism information, which are posted or published on the mass media outlet (i.e. official newsletter, magazines, web sites etc.) managed by the member cities without actual expenses.

  • Objectives
    • To develop a joint tourism product based on the same historical and cultural resources between the two cities.
  • Details
    • Ceremony: Opening ceremony, Queen Heo Parade & Musical Performance etc.
    • Exchange Programs: Theme Zone, Experience Indian/Gaya Culture Zone, Traditional performance, Economic Exchanges etc.
    • Events: Symposium, Conversazione, Exhibition etc

3. Tourism Information Service

1. Operation of the TPO Website
  • To introduce the Organization and its activities and to facilitate the communication among members
  • To provide tourism information on the member cities and to enhance their tourism promotion
  • It services in four languages of English, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese.
2. Publication of TPO Tourism magazine ‘Tourism Scope’
  • It is published in the E-book(PDF) four times a year in English, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese.
  • English version is printed in small amount for postal delivery.
  • No.36~No.38 were issued.
3. Publication of TPO E-Newsletter “Tourism News Patrol”
  • Newsletter is issued monthly online in four languages of English, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese.
  • No.132~No.143 were issued in 2016
